In the meantime, here are the 7 steps to take to set up your Virtual Assistant business for success:

1. Choose Your Services — I recommend most VAs start with General Administrative services. his will allow you to get started RIGHT AWAY. 😍

2. Set Up Your Packages — Most VAs charge $30/hr when first starting out. You can sell packages of hours (i.e. 10 hours per month for $300). I recommend 3 packages to get started. A 10, 20, and 40 hour per month package is great! ✨

3. Get Legal — Don’t take this part lightly. YES you need a contract. I have seen too many people get hurt in business because they didn’t have a good contract in place. ✅

4. Choose your Name and Business Branding — don’t overcomplicate this. It’s often where people get stuck. I was able to build a six figure VA business with the name Ashley Assistance <- not the most creative. Give yourself a 1 week deadline to DECIDE and just keep moving forward! 💪

5. Create a Portfolio — I highly recommend @canva for this. Just put an intro page, a list of your services, your packages, and any examples of the type of work you can do into a PDF document. I recommend doing this BEFORE having a website.

6. Create a Separate Bank Account — Don’t mix personal and business finances! Keeping things separate will make your accounting and taxes SUPER easy to do. 💰💰

7. Begin Marketing — It’s NEVER too early to start marketing your business. Go to networking meetings. Meet with REAL people, don’t just post to your socials. Selling out your services is all about RELATIONSHIPS.
