ChatGPT 5 has officially launched—and it’s unlike any upgrade we’ve seen before. I’m excited to walk you through what’s new, test its capabilities, and share my real-world impressions. For the first time, OpenAI is offering their most advanced model even to free users. Of course, it’s also available under the Plus, Teams, and Pro plans. But here’s the twist—every previous model has now been retired. You’ll no longer see a long dropdown of options. ChatGPT 5 is a hybrid model—reasoning is built in by default. If you’re on a paid plan, you’ll get access to another version called GPT 5 Thinking, which takes more time to think through complex queries. But the standard GPT 5 already handles reasoning intelligently on its own. In this video, you’ll see exactly what’s new, how it performs, and several real examples of prompts in action.
